Blossoms Volleyball Set for Central Baptist College Tri-Match

MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello Volleyball team is setting its sights on Conway, Arkansas, this Tuesday, September 16, for the Central Baptist College tri-match. The Blossoms will take on Evangel University (Mo.) at 6:00 p.m. inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse, before closing the evening against tri-match host Central Baptist College at 8:00 p.m. Both matches will be held as exhibition matches and will not count toward the Blossoms' 2025 record.

It's a quick turn around just like the conference schedule," said Coach Ortiz. "Three out-of-town games, off day, practice, then a tri-match. That's going to allow us to find that game time urgency and jump right back into it.

All-TIME SERIES
Evangel University (Mo.)- This will be the first time the Blossoms and Valors will face off on the court.

Central Baptist College - There has been a total of five official meetings between the Mustangs and Blossoms, with UAM taking the last official recorded win over CBC in October of 2016 when the Blossoms swept the Mustangs (25-12, 25-11, 25-14).

LAST MEETING
Texas Woman's University - In October of 2016, the Blossoms swept the Mustangs (25-12, 25-11, 22-14), and finished the match-up with 45 kills on 99 total attacks and a team hitting percentage of .364 overall. Vanessa Pawlak led the offensive attack for UAM with nine total kills on 15 swings for a match-high hitting percentage .533. Aubrey Harrison and Maggie Pyles each added seven kills of their own as well. Macy Mitchell tallied a team-high 11 digs in the match-up and two service aces. Kendall Vondra led the Blossoms in total assists in the match with 39 overall.

LAST TIME OUT THIS SEASON

The Blossoms went 1-2 last weekend at the 2025 Denton Volleyfest in Denton, Texas. UAM was swept in the first two matches, going 0-3 against Texas Woman's University (12-19, 19-25, 13-25) and the University of Texas at Tyler (20-25,22-25,9-25). In the final match of the weekend, the Blossoms recorded their first win of the season, sweeping Southern New Hampshire University 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-19).
