MONTICELLO, Ark. - Arkansas-Monticello's Women's Basketball team (3-1) is scheduled for two games this week on Monday, Nov. 18, and Saturday, Nov. 23, inside Steelman Fieldhouse in Monticello. The Blossoms will face Mission University (3-1) at 5:30 p.m. Monday, before taking on the Buffaloes of Arkansas Baptist College at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 23.
Saturday's match will be the first part of a non-conference doubleheader alongside the UAM Men's Basketball team.
"We are excited to have two more home games this week," said Head Coach David Midlick. "Mission and Arkansas Baptist are well coached and will present us with different challenges. We are looking forward to tonight and Saturday."

LAST MEETING
Mission University (previously Baptist Bible) - Arkansas-Monticello was victorious in the first and only match-up to date on December 13, 2022. The Blossoms walked away with an 87-70 win over the Patriots in Monticello, Ark. Joi Montgomery led the way for UAM with 14 points on the night and going 5-7 on shots within two-point range and 4-4 on shots from the line. She also contributed a team-leading nine rebounds and two assists in the match.
Bailey Harris and Nyah Banks posted 12 points each in the match. Harris went 6-14 on field goals with seven rebounds. Banks contributed 5-8 on two-pointers and 2-4 on threes with three rebounds and four assists. And the final Blossom with double-digit points was
Azaria Hulbert who scored 10 in her time on the court. She went 4-6 on field goals and 2-3 on three-pointers with an assist.
Arkansas Baptist College - The Blossoms won their last match with the Buffaloes winning 67-47 in Monticello, Ark.
Alyssia Thorne led the way for Arkansas-Monticello with 17 points, going 7-14 on total field goals and 3-4 on free throws. She also contributed three offensive and six defensive rebounds on the night for a team-leading nine, and two assists and two steals in her 35 minutes played.
Alindsey Long posted 12 points of her own on the game, hitting 4-11 field goals, 2-6 three-pointers, and 2-2 free throws. Long also gave the Blossoms one assist. The final Blossom in double-digits was
Bailey Harris, scoring 11 points against the Buffaloes. Harris hit 5-9 field goals and 1-2 shots from the line with five rebounds, four blocks, two assists, and two steals.

Arkansas Baptist College - Through 13 games played against Buffaloes, the Blossoms have a 13-0 overall record dating back to the 1980-81 season. All the wins have come out of Monticello, except for three - when the matches took place in Little Rock, Ark., with the green and white's largest margin of victory being a 100-17 win in 1981. The Blossoms scored 120 points to ABC's 62 in 1987, the highest amount of points put on the board toward the Buffaloes, with the smallest amount of points scored being 57 to 50 in 2022. Through 13 games played the Blossoms are 94.92 points per game with 1234 points scored.
