CLINTON, Miss. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team (10-7) traveled to Clinton, Mississippi, on Tuesday afternoon for a midweek matchup against Mississippi College (11-9). The Weevils came out of the contest with an 11-4 loss to the Choctaws.

Scoring Recap:
Mississippi College kicked off the scoring, grabbing three runs in the first on a three-run shot to left field. They tacked on a fourth run in the third inning on a sac fly.s

AJ Keely got UAM on the board in the fourth on a two-run double to right. Kyle Tolley brought home a third run in the fifth on a single to left to make it a 4-3 ball game.

The Choctaw offense exploded in the bottom of the fifth inning, scoring seven total runs on two home runs, two RBI singles, and a double.

Elijah Olaybal scored the final run of the game in the ninth on a solo home run to center field.

The midweek saw Arkansas-Monticello conclude an 11-4 loss.

Pitching Performances:
- Ryan Mesaris started on the mound, tossing 2.0 innings with 3 ER on two hits with 2 SO and 1 BB
- Alberto Oropeza saw 2.0 innings on the bump, allowing 1 ER on 4 hits with 2 SO and 1 BB
- Jake Skelly opened the third inning and saw 4 ER on 5 hits through 5 batters
- Cody Graf took over in the fifth, seeing 2 ER scored on 2 hits with 1 SO
- Dawson Morrill went out in the sixth, seeing only 1 hit allowed through 4 batters, with 2 SO
- Tyler Vincent tossed the seventh, going three up, three down with no hits allowed and 2 SO
- Max French was the final pitcher, throwing the eighth with 1 hit allowed in 4 batters with 1 SO.

- Elijah Olaybal - 2-for-4 with a home run, 1 run scored, 1 RBI, and 1 BB
