RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's basketball team traveled to Arkansas Tech University on Monday night for a make up evening meeting with the Wonder Boys. Monday's game was originally scheduled to be played on January 25. The Weevils dropped the meeting with the Wonder Boys 73-62.

Isaac Jackson led the way for Arkansas-Monticello (9-13, 5-11 GAC), posting 17 points in the game. Jackson hit 7-15 total field goals on the day, two three-pointers, and 1-3 free throws. He also contributed eight total rebounds in his 35 minutes, along with two assists and a block.

Jakob Zenon followed close behind in the double-digits, posting 13 points of his own. Zenon hit 5-13 field goals, one three-pointer, and 2-2 from the line, along with three defensive rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Ashton Price was the third Boll Weevil in the double-digits, scoring 12 points on the evening. Price hit 3-9 field goals, one three-pointer, and 5-6 free throws, while grabbing four total rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Giancarlo Valdez saw 10 points posted as the final Boll Weevil in the double-digits. Valdez hit 4-8 field goals, and two three-pointers, along with three total rebounds and three assists. 

Arkansas Tech (8-14, 6-10 GAC) was led by David Elliott IV with 21 points. 

Arkansas-Monticello struggled offensively through the opening half of the game, as Arkansas Tech proved more efficient, outscoring the Weevils 33-19. The Wonder Boys were 13-24 on shots (54.17%), compared to the Weevils' 7-30 (23.33%). The teams would head to the locker room at the half with the Weevils trailing, 33-19.

Arkansas-Monticello found success in the second 20-minute period, outscoring Arkansas Tech, 43 points to 40. The Weevils were 16-25 on shots (64.0%), compared to the Wonder Boy's 13-25 (52.0%). Unfortunately, the effort proved not enough, as the final buzzer rang, concluding the game with a 73-62 loss for UAM.

Arkansas-Monticello committed eight turnovers in the entirety of the match.
