MONTICELLO, Ark. — University of Arkansas at Monticello Weevil Football head football coach Gary Golf announced the addition of 51 Boll Weevils during National Signing Day on Wednesday.
"I am very excited for this signing class and believe they will form the foundation of our program for years to come," said
Goff.
"I am proud of our staff for putting together a class with some very talented student athletes in just a short period of time. This class is only possible due to the support and vision of our administration on campus, and for that, I want to extend a special thanks to Dr. Doss and Coach Jackson."
With a brand new slogan of #weDAT (Discipline, Attitude, and Tough), this year's National Signing Day consists of 51 signees, including 40 high school seniors and 11 mid-year transfers. Among these athletes are 25 defensive players, 23 offensive players, and 3 special teams players.
The Newest members of the Boll Weevil football team come from across the United States, with 18 from the state of Arkansas, 16 from Texas, 9 from Louisiana, 3 from Florida, 2 from both Georgia and Mississippi, and 1 from West Virginia.

The offensive signing class includes 7 wide receivers, 4 offensive linemen, 4 tight ends, 4 running backs, 3 quarterbacks, and 1 athlete.
"Excited where we are at right now. We've got a long way to go and a lot of work ahead of us, but that's okay," said Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator Gary Goff. "That's why we are here. Again, very honored and thankful to be here with my staff. We only have success if we all have it together, and I believe that. So again, very appreciative, kudos to my staff and the great work they have done. Really appreciate the administration and all the support and resources they have been giving us. Other than that, we will see you soon on the field. Eat 'em up."
Arkansas-Monticello's defense welcomes 6 defensive linemen, 6 cornerbacks, 6 linebackers, 4 defensive tackles, and 3 defensive backs.
"I'm extremely excited about this year's signing class," said Defensive Coordinator William Henry. "We are going to be able to have a lot of depth to the current roster. And we think we have done a great job of getting people in every position defensively. We are just excited to get these guys in the program and in the building and see what we can do with them."
