RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference released its 2025 preseason coaches poll for Women's Golf on Tuesday afternoon. Fifth-year Head Coach
Ken Hamilton and the rest of the women's golf program were voted in 7th overall as the fall season nears opening.
During the 2024-25 season, the Blossoms closed out the GAC tournament with a 7th-place finish as senior
Shehna Akbary undoubtedly led the team throughout the event. She closed out the final round of the GAC tournament tied for 20th, carding a 78 in round three. Akbary went on to tie for 30th in the NCAA Regional Tournament.
Henderson State, once again, successfully defended its title at the GAC Championships, taking its fifth straight tournament win. They return 2024-25 First Team All-GAC and WGCA Honorable Mention All American Lily Nelson. She registered seven top-10 finishes last season. The Reddies grabbed 99 total points and nine first-place votes.
Harding edged out Arkansas Tech and Southwestern Oklahoma State for second place in the poll, taking the remaining two first-place votes.
The Golden Suns took third, the Bulldogs were voted fourth, and the Muleriders claimed fifth.
Oklahoma Baptist was the final school voted above UAM, followed by Southeastern Oklahoma State, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Southern Nazarene, and East Central.

uamsports.com. UAM travels to Blue Springs, Missouri, to open up the 2025 fall season at the Central Region Preview on September 2. The tournament is being hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University.
