CABOT, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello women's golf team played in the opening round of the Natural State Golf Classic at the Cypress Creek Golf Club in Cabot, Arkansas on Monday afternoon. The Blossoms came out of day one of the tournament in 8th place overall, with Ximena Paz leading for UAM.

Ximena Paz led the Blossoms in the opening round of the tournament, closing out her first 18 holes with a 3-over 75. She finished the day tied for 15th place.

Following close behind was Chiara Sturaro, who left day one tied for 24th place after shooting a round one 76.

Natalie VanDort was the final Blossoms to score below an 80 on the day. VanDort closed out day one tied for 39th place, with a first round 79.

Mekdes Rozas closed out day one of the tournament scoring an 85, finishing the day tied for 61st.

Robbi Jo Freeman is the final Blossom competing in the tournament. She finished the day in 66th place, shooting an opening round 92.
