Box Score MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Women's Basketball traveled to hosted Great American Conference member Oklahoma Baptist University on Thursday evening. The Blossoms came out of the contest with a 55-50 loss to the Bison.
Cyarah Kensmil led the way for Arkansas-Monticello (9-16, 6-13 GAC) as the loan Blossom in double digits on the night with 14 points. She shot for 8-13 on field goals throughout the match. She had two offensive and two defensive rebounds contributed on top of an assist.
Oklahoma Baptist (14-11, 10-9 GAC) was led by
Jaedyn Getman with an 18 point performance each.
The opening 10 minutes proved to be a split between both the Blossoms and the Bison, with both teams putting 11 points on the board. Arkansas-Monticello was the first team to score, finding a 6-0 run to start the match led by
Cyarah Kensmil. As the quarter continues, the Bison would fight back, but were unable to reclaim the lead from UAM. Arkansas-Monticello would finish out the quarter going 5-17 on field goals and 1-6 on threes. The two teams would head into the second quarter with an 11-11 tie.
The second quarter would go the Bison way as they outscored the Blossoms 19 points to 17 throughout the second 10 minute period. UAM shot for 41.18% of their field goals throughout the second ten minutes, while Oklahoma Baptist would shoot for 40% in their performance. The teams would head to the locker rooms with OBU leading, 30-28.
Quarter three was won by the Oklahoma Baptist team again, with OBU outscoring UAM 16 points to 11. The quarter would come to a close with the Bison leading, 46-39.
The final quarter of the game would come to a close with Arkansas-Monticello outscoring the visiting Oklahoma Baptist, 11-9. Although the final 10 minutes was won by UAM, the Blossoms were unable to chip away the OBU lead. The match would come to a close with a Blossom loss, falling to the Bison, 55-50.
Arkansas-Monticello committed 12 turnovers in the entirety of the match.

The Blossoms return to Steelman Field House on Saturday, February 16 when they host Great American Conference member Oklahoma Baptist University. The match is set to tip-off at 5:30 p.m.
