Weekly Weevil Write Up

Monticello, Ark. - Each week the Weekly Weevil Write Up takes a closer look at what's in store for the University of Arkansas at Monticello in the coming days.

UAM baseball and softball continue the long grind of Great American Conference competition while volleyball hits the home stretch of the regular season. Meanwhile, Blossoms golf goes for a third-straight top-three finish on the course.

Baseball

Full Schedule

The UAM baseball team ventures back into non conference play playing host to the University of Texas at Tyler for a midweek contest Tuesday, March 23. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.

UAM will get back to GAC competition on the road for a three-game weekend series against East Central University. The series opener will be Friday, March 26, at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, will feature a doubleheader between the Weevils and the Tigers starting at noon.

The Weevils are 5-9 overall on the year and 5-7 in conference play.

Women's Golf

Full Schedule

The UAM women's golf team travels to Hot Springs, Ark. for the HSU Women's Spring Invitational Monday and Tuesday, March 22-23. The tournament will be hosted by Henderson State University at Hot Springs Park.

The Blossoms are coming off their second-consecutive top-three finish after placing third at the Dancing Rabbit Intercollegiate last week.

Softball

Full Schedule

The Blossoms softball team is back at Alvy Early Softball Field for a three-game series against East Central University Friday and Saturday, March 26-27.

The three-game series will start with a doubleheader Friday beginning at noon. UAM will wrap the series with the Tigers Saturday first pitch for game three set for noon.

The Blossoms are 5-10 on the season and 5-9 in GAC contests.

Volleyball

Full Schedule

UAM will celebrate Senior Night at Steelman Field House Tuesday as it hosts Henderson State. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Blossoms (3-5, 3-5 GAC) are coming off their first road win of the season after taking down Ouachita Baptist in four sets March 16.
