RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas — University of Arkansas at Monticello freshman setter Kendall Vondra has been named the Great American Conference Setter of the Week.

Vondra led the Blossoms to a 4-0 week after defeating non-conference opponents Central Baptist and Chrisitian Brothers, and GAC opponents Southwestern Oklahoma State and Northwestern Oklahoma State. 

The Arlington, Texas native finished up the week up with 174 total assists and averaging a GAC-leading 11.6 assists per set. Vondra totaled a career-high 51 assists in the match against Christian Brothers and dished out 46 in a four-set win against SWOSU, and followed up with 38 in a sweep of Northwestern Oklahoma State. She added 29 digs, six service aces, four total blocks, and three kills over the past week as well. 

Arkansas-Monticello will return to action next on Friday, October 14 as the Blossoms will face the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist in a GAC match-up in Shawnee, Oklahoma with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.
