The University of Arkansas at

end on Saturday, falling 51-54
to Southern Arkansas at home
inside Steelman Field House.
As a team, the Boll Weevils

percent from the field
(17-of-54), 23.8 percent from
three-point range (5-of-21) and

the rebound battle by a final

committed one more turnover than
SAU with 12.
Junior Jarrell Turner was the
only Boll Weevil to finish in
double-figures with 12 points
after making 3-of-12 shots from
the field and 6-of-8 foul shots.
Turner led all players with nine
rebounds, just one board shy of
collecting what would have been
his third double-double of the
season.
Junior Derrick Robinson was the
next highest scorer for UAM with
nine points.
The Muleriders (9-11, 4-3
GSC-West) shot 48.8 percent from

(3-of-9) and 57.9 percent from
the charity stripe (11-of-19).
SAU had almost 45 percent of its
scoring occur at the low post
with 24 points coming from the
paint, where UAM only scored 14
points.
SAU had three scorers reach
double-figures, led by the
game’s leading scorer Sanchez
Dade with 17 points, followed by
Channin Harden with 13 points
and David Noble with 11.
The Boll Weevils conclude their
three-game home stand this
Thursday, February 4 against
Christian Brothers. Tipoff is
