MONTICELLO – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team has been forced to re-schedule its season-opening series against LeMoyne-Owen College for the second time due to inclement weather. The three-game series has been changed to a double-header on Wednesday, February 17.
 
Head Coach Carlos James said he is confident about the chances of playing this weekend’s four-game series against Missouri S&T in Monticello to begin the 2010 season.
 
The Boll Weevils are set to host Missouri S&T this weekend, February 12-14, starting with a single nine-inning game at 1 p.m. on Friday. Saturday features two seven-inning games starting at noon. The series is scheduled to conclude on Sunday with a single nine-inning contest at noon.
 
James said Weevils Field is not “game-ready,” and the Missouri S&T series will be played at Monticello High School’s baseball stadium.
